Punitive Damages in Drunk Driving Accident Claims
The state of Virginia takes drunk driving seriously, and our legislature has taken numerous steps to discourage it. Along with imposing severe penalties for drunk driving, the state also has opened the possibility of awarding "punitive damages" when drunk driving accidents cause serious injuries.
